Sample: Jewish Households in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties, Colorado

Sample Size: 722 telephone interviews completed from April-July, 1997.

Sample Notes: Telephone interviews completed with random sample of Jewish households in Greater Denver/Boulder area. Random sampling statified into three electronically unduplicated, complementary sampling frames: (1) Jewish Community List from the Jewish Federation and other Jewish organizations, (2) Distinctive Jewish Names from a CD-ROM telephone directory which were not on the Community List, and (3) a residual RDD (random digit dialing) sampling frame, which consisted of all possible telephone numbers in Greater Denver/Boulder, from which phone numbers on the Jewish Community List and the DJN frame had been electronically removed prior to sampling. Methodological Appendices in reports provide details.

Data are weighted to reflect estimates of the Jewish population and households in the Greater Denver/Boulder area. Data file includes three final weights": "HHwgt" results in a projected total of 32,064 Jewish households, "PopWt2" projects data to 78,502 people living in these Jewish households, "JewWtNew" projects data to 63,284 Jewish persons.

Interviews completed within each sampling frame: List: 359, DJN 122, residual RDD: 241. Data were weighted within sampling frames, with adjustments included for multiple telephone line households. After weighting, the percentage of Jewish households from each frame was: List: 28%, DJN 4%, resdidual RDD 68%.
