Sample Notes: The data were gathered from 402 individuals in households containing at least one Jewish person via in-person interviews. It is estimated in the published report that there are about 19,600 people living in 8,215 households that contain at least one Jew. The sampling universe included Jewish households located in Monroe County. The sampling procedure utilized a combination of random selection from an unduplicated master List of Jewish organizations in the Rochester area and a list of distinctive Jewish names from the telephone directory.
