Sample Notes: The data were gathered from 544 individuals in households with one or more Jewish individuals via a telephone interview survey. It is estimated in the published report that there are 16,443 people (of whom about 14,746 are Jews) living in 8,181 Jewish households. The sampling universe included Jewish households located in Longboat Key, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice, Florida. The sampling procedure was a combination of random digit dialing and a list of distinctive Jewish names from the telephone directory.
