1,209 Sample Notes The data were gathered from 1,209 adults in households with one or more Jewish individuals via a telephone interview survey. It is estimated in the published report that there are approximately 157,334 Jews (and 25,000 non-Jews) living in 67,656 households. The sampling universe was Jewish households in Greater Washington, D.C.: District of Columbia, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Alexandria City, Arlington County, Fairfax City and County, and Falls Church City. The sampling procedure was a combination of random digit dialing and randomly sampled names from the federation's list. 773 interviews were completed with the list sample and 436 with random digit dialing (179 of which were duplicated on the federation list and reassigned, even though they were contacted through RDD methodology).

Study Notes:

The data are weighted to reflect estimates of the Jewish population and households in the Greater Washington, D.C. area.
