Population Estimates:

5,000 Jewish persons in 2,700 Jewish households in 1999 - 4,300 year-round Jewish residents and 700 part-year residents (visitors excluded). Total number of people in Jewish households is 5,800 (including 800 non-Jewish persons).

Sample:

Adult Jewish Households in Martin County, FL and southern St. Lucie County, including St. Lucie, but excluding Fort Pierce. This area is served by the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.

Sample Size: 203 comnpleted Jewish household interviews: 23 from RDD (random digit dialing) and 180 from published DJNs (Distinctive Jewish Names).

Sample Notes:

Data are not weighted to project to the estimated number of Jewish households in the study area.

Weight factor ("WF") should be used for analysis; WF adjusts number of interviews based upon number of telephone lines in the household. Weighted N=190 interviews.
